Beachclub Hotel + Spa:
Interior Design

Project in progress.

Brief:

This project involved redefining the brand and spatial direction for a multi-component beach club resort, including the beach club, hotel accommodation, restaurant, bar and retail spaces.

The brief also included reworking the hotel layout — converting a series of compact rooms into larger suites across both brutalist concrete block rooms and traditional timber cabin structures — alongside the introduction of a spa and wellness centre.

Outcome:

Working in dialogue with the project’s architectural language, a new design direction was developed that reinterprets Indonesian culture through a contemporary lens, appealing to both international and local guests.

Traditional textile patterns and symbolic motifs were translated into spatial details, finishes and custom elements, developed in collaboration with local artisans to create a culturally grounded yet modern identity.

Material selections balanced natural timbers with more robust architectural finishes, specified with sustainability and wellbeing in mind. Low-VOC materials and tadelakt plaster were introduced for their durability and hygienic qualities, supporting a calmer, healthier environment throughout the resort.
